NEW POSTAL SERVICE ALBUM

...is never happening. ever.

Seriously, they're done. No joke.

Now go soothe yourself by listening to Give Up over and over.
You know you want to.

(So basically the news that started this was that even though they began work on a new release in Summer '06, Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello have both stated that they're going in other directions and that the project is not a priority for either of them. That means that we'll see them tour on the old record before you ever hear a single thing off of a new record.)

Ahh, memories. Semi-morbid, post-high-school-pre-college memories.

i heard an interview with tamborello for some satellite radio station in 2007 that promised an album in late 09..... but they've been saying that for 3 years now.

that fiest remix was my beacon of hope.

"Jimmy and I are still throwing ideas back and forth, but as time goes on, we find ourselves busy with our own music." Gibbard continued, "We have some stuff, but it's been difficult to find the time and the drive to do the record. I'd love to finish it at some point and maybe even do some performances. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be."

Okay, maybe the doors still a bit open.

By the way, big thanks to Clifford for sauntering over to my blog here. He's a blogger (digitalarmes.com) as well as ridiculously talented DJ who just so happened to put some Postal Serv in his last mix (You're Perfect) which pretty much threw me out a window.

I'm going to head over to PopDefect next week so i'll make sure to make a review-ish post so you can hear more about him. Or just go to www.Digitalarmes.com
